Music In Motion Invitational Band Competition

You are Invited to the 32nd Annual Music In Motion Invitational Band Competition.

Music In Motion will be held on October 4, 2003 at Barnwell High School, W. W. Carter Field, Barnwell, South Carolina. Music In Motion is sponsored by the Barnwell Band Booster Club, Inc. and the Barnwell Scarlet Knights Band.

INFORMATION

Bands will enter according to their classification with the South Carolina High School League or according to their wind section:

Division I ~ 0 - 25 Winds

Class A ~ 26 - 40 Winds

Class AA ~ 41 - 54 Winds

Class AAA ~ 55 - 69 Winds

Class AAAA ~ Over 70 Winds

Each band will be adjudicated by six judges. There will be two Grand Champion Trophies awarded, one in the Red Division ( Div. 1, Class 1A and Class 2A ) and one in the White Division (Class 3A and Class 4A). Trophies will be awarded in each class for Best Drum Major, Auxillary, Percussion, and Wind Section. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards will be given in each class. Rating trophies and the Phil Flynn Spirit Award will also be awarded.

Bands will be placed in 15-minute intervals. Warm up and dressing facilities will be provided for each band. Our Concession Stand will offer a variety of snacks and foods at reasonable prices.
